Founded by Parents.
Built for Families.
In 2000, three determined mothers came together with a conviction that would change hundreds of lives.
Their daughters — each with Down syndrome — were being left behind. Not for lack of love, but for lack of a place that truly saw them. A place that honored their God-given worth, nurtured their friendships, and believed in their future.
So they built one.
Green Oaks began with four students in a rented portable classroom behind a church. No campus. No staff. Just faith, determination, and an unwavering belief that every child deserves to flourish.
Today, Green Oaks serves over 150 families across North Texas — with programs that walk alongside individuals from age 8 through adulthood. Our campus has grown. Our programs have expanded. But our conviction hasn't changed: every person is made in God's image, created with purpose, and worthy of a life well-lived.

Faith Woven Into Everything
At Green Oaks, faith isn't a class on the schedule — it's the foundation everything else is built on. Every morning begins with devotion and prayer. Students gather for chapel worship. Bible study is part of the curriculum. And staff are free to pray with and for the students in their care.
A Community That Feels Like Family
For many of our families, Green Oaks is the first place their child has ever truly belonged. The friendships formed here aren't school friendships — they're lifelong ones. Students, staff, and families become part of something that extends far beyond classroom hours.
