Growing Old Gracefully with Intellectual Disabilities Conference

Caring for Aging Loved Ones with Intellectual Disabilities
People with intellectual disabilities are living longer than ever. That is great news for those who love them. However, increasing age is often accompanied by a host of physical and mental challenges that are new to caregivers. Join us for the first of a conference series that will address some of the concerns we are facing.
Join us for a conference as we address key concerns facing aging individuals with intellectual disabilities and the families who support them.
Featured Speakers:
• Lauren Wang, MD- Center Director at the Timothy Freeman, MD, Center for Developmental Disabilities at the University of Cincinnati. Dr. Wang will explore physical and neurological issues such as Alzheimer’s and dementia.
• Rose Reif, MS- Owner of Adaptive Mental Health Solutions and author specializing in mental health services for individuals with IDD. Rose will discuss supporting emotional well-being and grief, especially for individuals with Down syndrome.
